The Dallas Composite Squadron is a unit of the Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force. Formed in February of 1996 by a highly-decorated Vietnam helicopter pilot veteran, U.S. Army Captain Roland Jarvis, and presently commanded by Maj. Greg Malone.  The squadron strives to achieve the highest standards of professionalism in service to our community and to the United States Air Force.

The squadron offers programs for cadets(g) (ages 12-18) and seniors(g) (over age 18). Both groups participate in a variety of training, service, and educational activities. Cadets also receive training in military drill, flight orientations(g), leadership training and physical fitness.

The Dallas Composite Squadron places a particular emphasis on following the customs, courtesies, and procedures expected of U.S. military personnel. Squadron members wear U.S. Air Force-authorized uniforms to each weekly meeting and other activities. Military officers often appear as guest speakers at meetings. Many Dallas Squadron members are themselves current, former, or retired military personnel. We are proud of the Civil Air Patrol's status as the only official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force and we take care to conduct ourselves in a manner that  reflects credit on our sponsor.

The Dallas Composite Squadron is not for everyone. Our high standards of service and our adherence to military customs require a dedication and commitment beyond that of the average "weekend warrior." However, most members would agree that their efforts are well worth it. Already in its brief existence, the squadron has already been honored by the National Headquarters ofor its service to the Civil Air Patrol.

If you're ready to do your part in service to your country, e-mail us for more information, or call (972) 381-5808. We look forward to meeting you.
