Meetings of the Dallas Composite Squadron are held every Monday evening at 1830 hours (6:30 PM ) for Cadets (under 18 years old) and 1900 hours (7:00 PM) for Seniors.   Meetings are held at the Southwest Airlines Flight Operations Training Center on 2750 Seelcco Drive, just east off of Denton Drive on the west side of Love Field Airport.  For location information you can visit our  Maps & Parking(g).

Cadet(g) and Senior(g) Members assemble separately at the beginning of the meeting to pursue their respective activities. For cadets, this might mean a period of military drill, physical fitness training, or aerospace education. Senior Members generally follow a standard "committee meeting" schedule, then engage in organizational or educational activities. Cadets later join the Senior Members for an inspection and awards ceremony. Meetings are scheduled to conclude by 2100 hours (9:00 PM.)  The latest information on the Dallas Composite Squadron's activities can be found on our schedule(g).  A fast modem (36K or higher) is recommended.

At least once a month, cadets and senior members come together to hear a guest speaker. In keeping with the Dallas Composite Squadron's belief in emphasizing the important link between the Civil Air Patrol and the U. S. Air Force, speakers frequently include current or retired military personnel discussing topics related to military aviation.

Recent speakers have included General Steve Ritchie(g), America's only fighter ace in Vietnam, who described the day he shot down two MIGS in less than two minutes; Captain Bernie Mayoux of the Royal Air Force, who gave a very informative overview of the Battle of Britain in World War II;  Maj. General George B. Harrison(g), Commander, Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico, who described the various aircraft the U.S. Air Force is testing for future acquisition; and a squadron visit to Gen. Chuck Yeager(g).  You can see our newsletter(g) for additional information and photos on these and other speakers.

Visitors and potential members are welcome to attend meetings. We recommend calling ahead first to verify that a particular meeting is open to the public, not cancelled for holidays and to obtain parking information. The Squadron phone number is (972) 381-5808. Messages are returned promptly. We hope to see you soon!
